Alli’s Journey is a non-profit, charitable organization whose mission is to support the young adult cancer population, ages 18-35, through initiatives such as the Comfort Bags project. They are determined to let young people know that the community cares about their fight. Since its launch in 2006, Alli’s Journey supporters have grown and are thrilled to continue supporting the young adult cancer community in any way they can.
Alli’s Journey supplies internally created Comfort Bags to young adult cancer patients beginning their treatment. These comfort bags include a variety of items meant to support, educate and comfort the young adult cancer patient. Their volunteers are continuously working on securing donations for the bags and filling them with various items, such as toiletries, books, etc. The bags have been distributed at Princess Margaret Hospital and Gilda’s Club of Greater Toronto!
In addition to being distributed at Sunnybrook Odette Cancer Centre and Wellspring Cancer Support Centres, the Alli’s Journey comfort bags will now be distributed to young adult cancer patients at Princess Margaret Hospital and Mount Sinai Hospital!
If you have any products that you believe that can get donated, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or visit their website to make a donation at allisjourney.ca
In order to fundraise for projects like their Comfort Bags, Alli’s Journey hosts events such as Movie Nights.
They have screened films such as the acclaimed Sicario and The Grand Seduction, by Torontonian filmmaker Don McKellar.
Alli’s Journey has also produced several Take My Hand concerts, featuring some of the finest musicians working in Toronto from a wide array of genres.
See you at the movies!
